Whether or not Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is releasing iOS 10.3.1 beta this January remains an anticipation following a leak Sonny Dickson. In a pair of tweets, the avid Apple hardware leaker who is known for sharing inside Apple details outlined an upcoming beta’s so-called Theater mode. While all this information may not be official at the moment, further rumor states that the new update is likely to focus on improving the iPad experience.
Nonetheless, according to Dickson, the first iOS 10.3 beta edition will be sowed to developers on Tuesday, Jan. 10. Apparently, the tipster has leaked Apple-related info on several occasions in the past, which have turned to be true. Hence, there are chances that the Apple rumor is true and it is perhaps just waiting for affirmation.
Surprisingly, the tipster seems not to be having comprehensive information about the new Theatre mode and how it works. Thus it remains unclear what to expect. However, there are suggestions related to special controls or settings that will facilitate an enhanced way of watching movies without distractions.
AppleInsider further reveals that the new mode could ‘quickly disable sound systems and haptic feedbacks while at the same time reduce initial screen brightness. It will also block incoming calls and messages. The big question now is, could this feature be similar to that of iPhone’s ‘Do Not Disturb’ that mutes alerts when activated?
The initial hints of the provision of iOS 10.3 a few months ago visits from iOS 10.3 devices have increased. However, this may not be new to Apple because it has previously held onto patents with similar settings as those of the new mode some of them dating back to 2012. But besides the activated Theater mode rumor, Apple’s IP describes a location-aware solution, which triggers automatic customization of phone settings.
Earlier in the month, Apple launched its current mobile operating system version, iOS 10.2, which has new emoji characters. It also accommodates tweaks to Music on iPhone and the company’s new TV app. Meanwhile, Apple’s stock closed at $116.61 an increase of $0.59 or 0.51%.
