McDonald Corporation (NYSE:MCD) is on a rampage, with its new all-you-can-eat special for consumers to test the limits of their stomachs. This is a good thing for all French fry lovers, certainly more-so considering that McDonald’s has one of the most popular French fries around the globe.

The second store to do this special is located in Gladstone, Missouri. The reason behind the special, is due to a celebration for the store’s grand opening, giving all French fry lovers out there, a reason to want to visit the restaurant.

However, if people wish to take the special head on, it is important to note that the company announced they would only have this special for a short while. More specifically, the special started on December, 21, and will conclude on January 31, 2017.

Is this the future of McDonald’s

However, there is a catch for this special, those who wish to challenge their stomach will be required to order the “Signature Crafted Extra Value Meal” on the menu, in order to be entitled to all-you-can-eat French fries.

The owner-operator of this branch, stated, “We want to celebrate the grand opening in a big way. We are excited to reward our local customers who have been eagerly awaiting the new restaurant by providing them endless fries and extra lovin’ this Christmas.”

However, the companies special does not stop there. In addition to the endless fries rampage, the company is all offering a voucher to the first 50 in-store customers, as well as the first 50 drive through customers.

This voucher will entitle these individuals to one free “Signature Crafted Extra Value Meal” each week, for a total period of one year. Furthermore, the first 100 drive-through customers and first 100 walk-in customers will also receive a free soft drink, each week – for a year.

The start of the French-fries massacre

It is not clear yet whether consumers can expect this to be the future of McDonald’s. However, the origination of the idea of endless fries started with St. Joseph McDonald’s branch, who offered endless French fries in order to lure customers into their newly renovated base of operations.
